SEOUL, May 29 (Yonhap) -- Yves, formerly of the girl group LOONA, has released her first solo mini-album, embarking on her solo career. Her agency, Pikesper Mill, announced on the 29th that Yves' mini-album 'Loop' will be available on various music platforms starting at 6 PM.
The album features four tracks, including the title track 'Loop,' 'Diorama,' which sings about the feeling of meeting an ideal version of oneself, 'Afterglow,' which captures the subtle emotions towards a former lover, and 'Goldfish,' which confesses her feelings to her fans.
In 'Loop,' Yves expresses the desire to break free from the repetitive cycle of everyday life with a rhythmic alternative beat. The music video showcases Yves' journey as she starts anew as a solo artist.
Yves shared her excitement and anticipation, saying, "This is the first time I've created music entirely with my own thoughts and voice. It marks my first attempt to explore and express myself beyond the fixed patterns."
Debuting with LOONA in 2017, Yves experienced a contract dispute with her former agency and moved to a new agency in March this year to begin her solo activities.
