SEOUL, Oct. 8 (Yonhap) -- The Korean Film Archive (KOFA) said Thursday it will hold a special screening of director Park Chan-wook's extended cut of "No Other Choice" (2025) on Oct. 13 at Cinematheque KOFA in Sangam-dong, western Seoul.

Released last year, "No Other Choice" follows Mansu, a laid-off breadwinner played by Lee Byung-hun, as he eliminates potential competitors in his efforts to find a new job. The film is based on Donald Westlake's novel "The Ax."

The extended cut runs 157 minutes, 19 minutes longer than the theatrical version, and includes additional scenes such as Mansu and his wife, Miri, played by Son Ye-jin, leaving their daughter's cello practice room, as well as an episode at a dental clinic run by Oh Jin-ho, played by Yoo Yeon-seok.

After the screening, Park and cinematographer Kim Woo-hyung, who worked on the film, will participate in a guest talk with the audience. They will discuss the process of completing the film's visual style and stories from the set.

Admission is free.
