SEOUL, Jan. 10 (Yonhap) – O Yeong-su(78), the first South Korean actor who has won the Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role on TV at Golden Globe Awards, delivered a message of gratitude.
The actor, who won the best TV supporting actor at 79th Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 10 (KST), said through Netflix, “When I heard the news, I told myself ‘You are a decent guy’ for the first time in my life.”
O Yeong-su added, “It’s not ‘us in the world’ but the ‘world in us,’” adding, "While embracing the scent of our culture and the love for my family deep in my heart, I would like to thank everyone around the world. I wish you all live a beautiful life.”
He beat Billy Crudup and Mark Duplass of "The Morning Show” and Brett Goldstein of "Ted Lasso,” along with Kieran Culkin of "Succession” to clinch the award.
