SEOUL, Mar. 8 (Yonhap) -- KBS 2TV’s new Monday-Tuesday drama “Crazy Love” started off around 3% in viewership.
The first episode of “Crazy Love,” which aired on March 7 at 9:30 pm, set a record of 3.4% in viewership, according to the ratings company Nielsen Korea on Tuesday.
The series depicts the love between No. 1 math tutor Noh Go-jin (Kim Jae-uck) who hears a prophecy that he will be murdered and his secretary Lee Shin-ah (Jung Soo-jung) whose days are counted.
Shin-ah has been living with headache pills for a year under Noh Go-jin, who is arrogant and has a tendency to be perfectionist. After being diagnosed with a brain tumor at a medical examination, the series gave a twist as Shin-ah turned 180 degrees and went to Noh’s house with a weapon.
Crazy Love, which raised high expectations among viewers due to the chemistry between Kim and Jung, also made viewers laugh with the comic acting and directing. The series added fun by raising questions about who sent death threats to Noh for a long time.
With the new series “Crazy Love,” Monday and Tuesday dramas began a three-way race, including SBS TV's "Business Proposal” and tvN's "Military Prosecutor Doberman."
“Business Proposal,” which aired last week reached 8.1% in viewership and “Military Prosecutor Doberman” recorded 7.2% in viewership.
