SEOUL, Oct. 12 (Yonhap) -- Rapper NO:EL, formally known as Jang Yong-joon (21), was arrested for driving without a license, refusing to comply with the police's request to take a breathalyzer test and assaulting a police officer last month.

"There is a risk of running away after the criminal charges have been clarified," the Seoul Central District Court said Tuesday.

The 21-year-old rapper, who is also the son of member Jang Je-won of the National Assembly, was accused of hitting the police officer's head at 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 18 while driving a Mercedes-Benz at the intersection of St. Mary's Hospital in Seocho district, Seoul.

"I apologize to so many people. I will pay a price for my wrongdoings," Jang said through his lawyer, adding, that he would give up his right to attend the arrest warrant hearing.
