SEOUL, Sep. 01 (Yonhap) -- Sandara Park, a former member of girl band 2NE1, has joined ABYSS Company where Sunmi and BamBam are partners with, according to the agency’s official SNS Wednesday.

Park gained attention as the winner of the semi-finals of “Star Circle Quest,” a public employment of entertainers by ABS-CBN, a Philippine commercial broadcast in 2004. She received world-wide love as a member of (former) 2NE1 in 2009. Park has recently appeared in variety shows and musicals as well.

Her 17-year-long contract with YG Entertainment expired in May.

ABYSS Company includes Park Won, Urban Zakapa, Sunmi of former Wonder Girls and BamBam of former GOT7. The agency has supported former idol group’s members such as Sunmi and BamBam ‘rebrand’ing into solo artists.

“We will, of course, provide our best to show the new side and attractions of Sandara Park and will continue various activities for her global fans,” said the agency.
