Everland Tulip Festival to be held from Apr. 18

YONGIN, Mar. 15 (Yonhap) -- The Everland Tulip Festival, which began in 1992 and marks its 30th anniversary this year, will be held from Apr. 18 to Apr. 24.

Samsung C&T Resort Group, which operates Everland, announced on Monday that it will exhibit "Tulip Power Garden" with 1.3 million spring flowers, including tulips, daffodils, and Muscaris, and display character illustration works, such as artist Yislow's baby tiger, panda, Lenny, and Lara, featuring pastel colors and soft drawings.

Tulli, a tulip character of Everland that first appeared in 1995, was also reproduced into Yislow’s version of “Tulli Heroes.”

The media art videos of Chu Mi-rim from the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, artist Choi Sung-rok, and professor Park Je-sung from the Seoul National University College of Fine Arts will be featured on the large LED screen, which is 24m wide and 11m long located on the outdoor stage.

Everland will also open a Sky Garden Road under the theme of plum from Mar. 25.

The Sky Garden Road, which is in a size of 33,000㎡, contains 700 plum trees of 11 species.
