SEOUL, Dec. 23 (Yonhap) -- Netmarble announced Thursday that its U.S. subsidiary, Jam City, has established a department dedicated to blockchain and released its new blockchain-based mobile game "Champions: Ascension."
The newly released battle role-playing game (RPG) is built in a "Play Tour" (P2E) method that allows gamers to earn money while playing games.
"Champions: Ascension" allows players to train their own champions and participate in battles. Players will also be able to earn rewards in the form of an non-fungible token (NFT) after winning battles with other players.
Jam City is a global mobile game developer that has created games like "Cookie Jam," "Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery," and "Disney Emoji Blitz." The company was selected as one of the top 10 American game publishers of Google Play and App store last year.
