SEOUL, June 8 (Yonhap) -- Girl group Secret will make its long-awaited return with the special mini-album "Secret Flavor" on June 18, its distributor RBW said Monday.

The group announced the upcoming release through a trailer video posted on its official YouTube channel on Sunday.

Secret debuted in 2009 as a four-member group and rose to prominence as one of the leading second-generation K-pop girl groups with hits including "Magic," "Madonna," "Shy Boy" and "Starlight Moonlight."

The group has not carried out team activities since releasing the mini-album "SECRET SUMMER" in 2014.

Former member Han Sun-hwa left the group in 2016, while Song Ji-eun announced through social media in 2018 that she would be leaving Secret and making a fresh start.

The upcoming release will mark Secret's first group comeback in 12 years.

For the new project, original members Jeon Hyo-sung and Jung Ha-na will be joined by a new member, forming a three-member lineup.
