SEOUL, Mar. 14 (Yonhap) – K-pop boy group Seventeen’s The8 will release the Chinese solo song.

The8 will drop the digital single “Hai Cheng” through diverse music platforms worldwide on Mar. 18 at 11 a.m., according to the agency Pledis Entertainment on Monday.

It is the singer’s first solo song in about 11 months since “Side By Side,” which was released in April, 2021.

“Hai Cheng” is also The8’s fourth single released in Chinese. The title of the song derives from Haicheng in Liaoning Province, which is the singer’s hometown, in China.

The agency said, “The8 portrayed his own sensibility and sincerity in music by participating in diverse fields, such as writing lyrics and composing.”
