SEOUL, Sept. 16 (Yonhap) -- Hyundai Home Shopping said Wednesday it will open the fifth location of its in-house beauty select shop “Coasis” at Hyundai Department Store's Mokdong branch.

 

Coasis is a beauty select shop launched by Hyundai Home Shopping last year as the first of its kind in the home shopping industry.

 

The company currently operates four Coasis locations at Hyundai Outlet Space One, Hyundai Outlet Garden Five and Dongdaemun, and Hyundai Department Store's Cheonho branch. The company said the stores are exceeding their sales targets by more than 50 percent.

 

The fifth Coasis location, set to open Thursday, will occupy 184 square meters (about 56 pyeong) on the second basement level of Hyundai Department Store's Mokdong branch.

 

It will be the largest Coasis location to date, with the number of brands and products increasing by 30 percent and more than 50 percent, respectively, from the average of existing stores.

 

The new store will also expand its categories to include health functional foods, home spa products and functional hair-care products.

 

A separate “Perfume Zone” will offer about 150 domestic and international fragrance products.

 

A Hyundai Home Shopping official said, “We designed the Mokdong store as a space that encompasses lifestyle categories ranging from beauty to wellness and aesthetics.”

 

“We will continue to provide differentiated shopping experiences available only offline through customized store strategies that reflect the characteristics of each commercial area,” the official added.
