SEOUL, March 6 (Yonhap) -- Hwarang, a member of the seven-member boy group Tempest, has suspended activities due to privacy issues.

Tempest's agency, Yuehua Entertainment, announced on the 6th on the official Tempest fan cafe that it has decided to "temporarily suspend member Hwarang's activities."

Previously, Hwarang came under scrutiny for acknowledging a club visit during a video call fan signing event.

In response, Yuehua explained last month that "Hwarang deeply regrets visiting the venue" and "pledged not to repeat such actions."

However, the company released a statement again on this day, stating that "Hwarang has been in deep discussions with us regarding personal privacy issues and future activities" and "during this process, member Hwarang has not regained trust, and it is difficult to continue full group activities in this situation."

They added, "Tempest's 5th mini album activities will proceed with a six-member lineup excluding Hwarang," and "there may be Hwarang's footage for pre-recorded shoots and productions."

The upcoming mini 5th album 'Tempest Voyage,' set to be released on the 11th, includes songs with lyrics directly contributed by Hwarang.
