SEOUL, April 1 (Yonhap) -- The production company Jeonwonsa announced on the 1st that "A Traveler's Need," directed by Hong Sang-soo and winner of the Silver Bear Jury Prize at the Berlin International Film Festival, will be released on the 24th.
This is the 31st feature film by director Hong, and it tells the story of Iris (played by Isabelle Huppert), a woman from France who teaches French to Isong (played by Kim Seung-yoon) and Wonju (played by Lee Hye-young) while drinking makgeolli in Korea.
French actress Isabelle Huppert, after appearing in "In Another Country" (2012) and "Claire's Camera" (2018), collaborates with director Hong for the third time in this film. Actress Kim Min-hee, who is also Hong's partner, participated as a production director.
"A Traveler's Need" previously won the Silver Bear Jury Prize, equivalent to the second prize, at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival held in February.
