SEOUL, Apr. 8 (Yonhap) – K-pop supergroup BIGBANG’s “Still Life,” which was released after a four-year hiatus, has been sweeping the major music charts in Korea.

“Still Life” ranked No. 1 on major online music services, including Melon’s “Top 100 24 Hits,” Genie, Bugs and Vibe, from Apr. 5 to 8, maintaining its first place for 4 consecutive days.

The song also topped iTunes song charts in 33 regions around the world right after it was released on Apr. 5 as well as real-time charts of QQ Music and Line Music, the largest music streaming services in China and Japan.

Along with the release of the new song, there have been great interests in the group’s existing hit songs that they have previously released.

BIGBANG’s hit songs, including “Flower Road,” which was released in 2018, the title songs from the series of “MADE” albums, "Lies," and “Haru Haru,” re-entered the music charts at home and abroad.

The music video of “Still Life” has already recorded 29,060,000 views with 230,000 comments on YouTube on Apr. 8 at 2 p.m(KST).

New Musical Express(NME), a British music journalism magazine, has given five stars to the song, saying, “BIGBANG’s ‘Still Life’ is a bittersweet retrospection on growth and the passage of time. The band’s much-anticipated comeback signifies the end of an era, but leaves fans wondering if there’s anything more left.”
