SEOUL, August 10 (Yonhap) -- The whale loved by the popular drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” is coming to visit Jeju.

The Jeju Tourism Organization will be holding a media art exhibition “Colorful Sanji” in the Tamna Culture Plaza area for one month from August 13 till September 12.

In the main program, “Exhibition I want,” a 30-meter-long large whale installation art will be presented with 3,000 small sardine-shaped structures gathered together.

Based on the fact that Sanjicheon Stream is a waterway that flows through the old city center of Jeju and into the sea, it is expressed as a motif of whales and sardines coming up to the clean Sanjicheon along the stream.

The Korea Tourism Organization plans to express the whales that come to play in the Sanjicheon stream every evening, and the clean underwater scenery of Jeju through music, video, and lighting.

Director Han Kyung-ah, who produced and managed the olympic program of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, “Cheonnyeonhyang,” who also participated in “Colorful Mountain- Outing of Mount Hallasan” last year, and the technical director who oversaw the opening and closing ceremonies of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics participated in this work allowing the quality of the event to be increased.

Above all, it is built on the basis of a plastic house frame and is designed safely to withstand the strong rain, winds and summer typhoons in Jeju.

On weekdays, one will be able to make their own sardines from recycled plastic bottles and float them in a mountain stream, along with coloring in a colorful sanji coloring book.

On weekends, the “Performance I want,” will be featuring singers including Lee Mu-Jin, Jung Lee, and BE’O while the “Market I want,” which will be full of things to see and enjoy will be operated seven times.

The “Event I want” will also be operated to revitalize the local economy.

If one submits a purchase receipt of 30,000 won or more from the nearby commercial district, one will receive a whale doll made from recycled materials through a weekly lottery.
