SEOUL, Sept. 18 (Yonhap) -- Musinsa Standard, the casualwear brand of Musinsa, has opened its first store in South Chungcheong Province, the company said Friday.
The new store occupies the first and second floors of Shinsegae Department Store's Cheonan Asan branch and sells men's and women's fall-winter clothing, as well as beauty and home products.
Musinsa Standard plans to expand its offline presence from North Chungcheong Province to South Chungcheong Province and broaden its customer base in the Chungcheong region.
Cumulative sales during a preview period from Sept. 8-15 were about three times the original target, the company said.
To mark its debut in South Chungcheong Province, Musinsa Standard will give the first customers to make purchases a black sesame-flavored product from Cheonan-based brand Halmeoni Hakhwa Walnut Cookies. Customers who leave a comment about Cheonan or Cheonan Asan on Musinsa Magazine and verify it at the store will also receive a reusable bag.
On opening day, the store will offer a limited number of "Super Bags" containing popular products worth about 300,000 won for 49,900 won. Customers who spend at least 100,000 won will receive scratch coupons offering discounts and other benefits.
"We want more customers in the region to experience Musinsa Standard's products and brand more closely in their everyday lives through our first store in South Chungcheong Province, and we will further strengthen our offline business in the Chungcheong region," a Musinsa official said.
