SEOUL, Mar. 15 (Yonhap) -- “Twenty-Five Twenty-One” starring Kim Tae-ri and Nam Joo-hyuk, which recently marked the viewer rate of two digits, is captivating the audience with its retro vibe.

According to the CJ ENM’s CPI·Content Power Index for the first week of March (Feb. 28~ Mar. 6), tvN’s Saturday-Sunday drama “Twenty-Five Twenty-One” topped the overall category for the second consecutive week. The CPI recorded 342.2 which rose compared to the previous week (333.1).

“Twenty-Five Twenty-One,” a drama that depicts the confusion and development of the youth in the IMF(International Monetary Fund) financial crisis, adds fun to the series with hidden retro items such as the famous “Reply” series.

The characters exchanging messages with pagers and public phones, going in and out of comic book stores, listening to music from cassette tapes, and computer chatting can be unfamiliar to the younger generation but nostalgic to the people who experienced the 1990s.

In particular, the retro fashion of Na Hui-do (Kim Tae-ri), Go Yoo-rim (Bona), Moon Ji-woong (Choi Hyun-wook), and Ji Seung-wan (Lee Joo-myung), in last week’s show, caught the eye of the viewers.

Meanwhile, four romance dramas, including “Twenty-Five Twenty-One,” SBS TV’s “A Business Proposal” (No. 3), JTBC’s “Forecasting Love and Weather” (No. 5), and “Thirty-Nine” (No.9) settled in the top 10, proving the romance craze.
