SEOUL, Feb. 9 (Yonhap) -- Global K-pop sensation BTS will open ticket reservations on March 23 for its free comeback concert to mark the release of its fifth full-length album, the group’s agency said Monday.
The concert, titled "BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE|ARIRANG," will be held at 8 p.m. on April 21 at Gwanghwamun Square in central Seoul to celebrate the release of the group’s fifth studio album, "ARIRANG."
BTS shared details on ticket reservations and application procedures via its fan platform Weverse at midnight Sunday.
Ticket distribution will be divided into general free tickets and a Weverse Global raffle event exclusively for paid members of ARMY, the group’s official fandom.
General free tickets will be available starting at 8 p.m. on March 23 through NOL Ticket, with no eligibility requirements. Additional details on the reservation process will be announced at noon on March 20 via Weverse and NOL Ticket.
The Weverse Global raffle event for ARMY members will award tickets through a draw among Weverse membership holders who purchase the fifth full-length album during the application period. Further information will be posted on Weverse on March 10.
BigHit Music said the free concert is expected to offer citizens an opportunity to naturally enjoy music and culture as part of their everyday lives.
The concert will also be livestreamed to more than 190 countries and regions through Netflix. It marks the first time the streaming service has broadcast a live concert by a single artist.
BTS will release "ARIRANG" on April 20, one day ahead of the concert. From the album’s release date through April 12, a series of offline events titled "BTS THE CITY ARIRANG SEOUL" will be held across Seoul.
