BTS’ V pre-releases 2 songs from new album 'Layover'

 

SEOUL, Aug. 11 (Yonhap) -- V of K-pop superband BTS has unveiled two tracks, “Rainy Days” and “Love Me Again,” on Friday in advance to his upcoming solo album’s release next month.

 

These two songs were uploaded on video streaming platform YouTube as of 1 p.m. as a pre-release of V’s first solo album “Layover.” The six-song album is set to be rolled out on Sept. 8, according to the group’s agency Big Hit Music.

 

Rainy Days is a mixture of alternative pop and R&B genres, featuring distinctive percussion arrangements in harmony with modern drum sounds. The song was accompanied by a music video.  

 

Min Hee-jin, the executive producer of the album, introduced 'Rainy Days' as a gateway to V's vocals and visual style in an unadorned yet deeply resonating manner.

 

Love Me Again, another track revealed in the pre-release, embraces a cozy and rich R&B sound that blends the 1970s soul, gospel, and jazz influences.
