7 members of Korea women's volleyball team including Kim Yeon-koung to appear in 'Running Man'

SEOUL, Sep. 01 (Yonhap) -- Korean women’s volley team who performed fantastically in the 202 Tokyo Olympics is set to appear in SBS TV variety show “Running Man,” according to an official of the program Wednesday.

Kim Yeon-koung, Oh Ji-young, Yeum Hye-seon, Kim Hee-jin, Lee So-young, Ahn Hye-jin and Park Eun-jin of the volleyball team are set to take part in filming the program in the 13th just after the 2021 Uijeongbu Dodram Cup Professional Volleyball Tournament.

Earlier, users of portal websites and online communities has requested for the women’s volleyball team to appear in “Running Man” after the closing of the Tokyo Olympics.

“’Runnnig Man’ is actually the first variety program to show this many female volleyball team players. We are preparing a special episode for the meeting of the program’s members and the players,” said the producers.

The special episode is to be aired in the end of September.
