A pair of dogs gifted by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and kept by former President Moon Jae-in -- a female named Gomi (L) and a male named Songang -- are unveiled at Uchi Park Zoo in the southwestern city of Gwangju on Dec. 12, 2022, three days after the indigenous North Korean Pungsan-breed dogs found a new home at the public zoo.
On Nov. 8, Moon's side delivered the dogs, given to Moon by the North's leader after an inter-Korean summit in Pyongyang in 2018, to officials of the Presidential Archives, citing legal grounds and a lack of support from the Yoon Suk-yeol government. (Yonhap)
