SEOUL, Feb. 27 (Yonhap) -- CJ Olive Young said Friday it will hold its first “Olive Young Sale” of the year from March 1 to 7, offering discounts on some 30,000 beauty and wellness products at its nationwide stores and official online mall.
The retailer said it has prepared special deals on a wide range of items, from color cosmetics suited for the spring and back-to-school season to skincare and body care products for moisturizing during seasonal transitions.
Products related to seasonal colors and fragrances will be curated under the keyword “New Season, New Mood,” while skincare and body care items such as moisturizing creams will be presented under the theme “Hydrated Outside and In.” The company also introduced a “Night Care” theme featuring products that help wrap up the day, including night cleanse juice and sleep eye masks, to encourage an easy wellness routine.
During the sale, Olive Young will expand its “Today’s Special” promotion, which offers additional one-day discounts on selected popular items from six to seven brands each day. Starting with Biodance on the first day, the promotion will sequentially feature products from more than 40 brands, including Delight Project, Round Lab, Mediheal, Unove, Aestura and Clio.
The lineup includes specially planned sets offering double-sized products or free gifts to enhance customer benefits.
The company will also introduce “New Item Specials,” showcasing products launched since the last Olive Young Sale, and “Steady Seller Specials,” featuring best-selling items trusted by customers.
Various coupon benefits will be available. Customers who download surprise coupon packs offered on specific dates can receive discounts of up to 40,000 won for offline purchases. Online shoppers will also receive special discount coupons three times a day — at midnight, noon and 6 p.m. — on a first-come, first-served basis during the event.
Olive Better, a wellness curation platform launched by Olive Young in January, will also participate in the sale through its first store in Gwanghwamun and its in-app service. Based on six wellness keywords — eat well, nourish well, move well, rest well, groom well and care well — the platform will offer additional discounts on representative wellness items, ranging from olive lemon shots to probiotics and aromatherapy products.
The Olive Young Global Mall, the retailer’s overseas direct-purchase platform for K-beauty products, will simultaneously run the sale. Stores located in major tourist districts with high foreign customer sales, including Myeongdong, Seongsu and Hongdae in Seoul as well as Busan and Jeju, will host a “Buy Now” promotion featuring discounts on 15 popular items among tourists, such as skincare devices, sheet masks and cleansing foam.
An Olive Young official said the company has prepared a curated selection reflecting demand for mood changes in spring and seasonal skincare needs, adding it will continue to discover new trends and provide differentiated shopping experiences tailored to domestic and overseas customers.
The Olive Young Sale is a regular discount event held four times a year — in March, June, September and December — and has become one of the representative K-beauty events enjoyed by customers worldwide, the company said.
