SEOUL, Feb. 23 (Yonhap) – Sanghyowon, a healing arboretum near Donnaeko in Seogwipo, Jeju, is to open the 2023 Sanghyowon Tulip Festival on March 4 to mark spring.

 

Sanghyowon has introduced that the Tulip festival in Jeju will be a good opportunity to enjoy tulips in full bloom at the earliest time in the country.

 

At the Sanghyowon Festival, you can see about 300,000 different tulips that overcome the winter and show their colorful appearance in red, white, and yellow.

 

More than 20 kinds of tulips, including Dynasty, Purple Flag, and Golden Apeldoorn are to be displayed.

 

In addition to tulips, various spring flowers are to greet visitors.

 

It is expected that spring flowers such as anemone, chrysanthemum, pansy, viola, ume flower, apricot blossom, peach blossom, and dohwa flower will make springtime picnickers’ hearts flutter.

 

Sanghyowon explained the new Sanghyo Arboretum tour train has been operated since last year, allowing the whole family members to enjoy the arboretum together on the forest healing train.

 

Tulip festival will continue until April 9, and even after the festival, spring flower festivals from April to May and hydrangea festival from June to July will be held one after another.
