SEOUL, Nov. 12 (Yonhap) -- Hoshi of K-pop boy band Seventeen has donated 10,000 pieces of coal briquettes for low-income families in Namyangju City of Gyeonggi Province, the artist’s agency Pledis Entertainment announced Friday.

He has started donating again after 5 months since his joining “Honor Society” in June, a generous donors' group in Community Chest of Korea.

Hoshi from Namyangju City has been doing good acts such as providing fellowships for his old school or contributing for socially disadvantaged families.

“While winter is not far, the artist’s contribution will be a big help to those in desperate need for coal briquettes. We thank Hoshi for his continual care and consistent sharing acts for needy neighbors,” said the Namyangju Welfare Foundation.

Meanwhile, his band Seventeen will open concerts on November 14th and 21st which will be broadcast live. They will perform under the theme “POWER” in the 14th and “LOVE” on the 21st.
