SEOUL, July 2 (Yonhap) -- "K-Beauty House," a flagship hub overseen by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute to support the global expansion of Korean cosmetics brands, is set to open in Los Angeles in September, operator DL Skin said Thursday.

Ahead of its launch at the California Market Center (CMC), DL Skin said it recently concluded a business networking event with local buyers.

K-Beauty House will serve as a business-to-business (B2B) hub supporting the overseas expansion of small and medium-sized South Korean cosmetics brands. It will connect K-beauty companies with global distributors through buyer matching programs, consumer experience events and media and influencer activities.

The networking event, held June 24-25, brought together Korean beauty companies, including Modamoda, The Lab by Blanc Doux, Luonsell of Dongkook Pharmaceutical and Dear Dahlia, as well as Kolmar USA and Hongcheon, a U.S.-based distributor specializing in K-beauty products, to strengthen cooperation for expansion into the North American market.

"Through K-Beauty House, we plan to enhance the global recognition of Korean small and medium-sized beauty brands, establish cooperative networks with local distributors and foster the hub as a sustainable export platform for the U.S. market," DL Skin said.
