SEOUL, Sept. 3 (Yonhap) -- Iksan, North Jeolla Province, will hold the second "Chicken and Rock Band Festival" at Jungang Sports Park in Yeongdeung-dong on Sept. 5-6, the city said on Thursday.

 

First launched last year, the festival is an urban cultural event organized by the Iksan Office Workers' Band Association.

 

For its second edition, the festival has been expanded into a music event bringing together youth and office workers' bands, creating an opportunity for different generations to connect through music.

 

On the first day, Sept. 5, youth rock bands and dance teams will take the stage for energetic performances filled with youthful spirit and passion. On Sept. 6, local office workers' bands will perform a variety of music and interact with the audience.

 

The festival venue will also feature sales booths operated by local chicken brands, along with 480 table seats where visitors can enjoy chicken while comfortably watching the performances.

 

Lee Yun-ri, head of Iksan City's Culture, Tourism and Industry Division, said, "This festival is a distinctive cultural event in Iksan where young people, office workers and citizens come together through music. We hope families, friends and couples will enjoy exciting performances and food and make special memories in the heart of the city."
