BHAK to host 'Yun Hyong-keun: Umbermark' until April 8

SEOUL March 2 (Yonhap) -- BHAK also known as Galerie BHAK will showcase exhibition called “Umbermark” featuring paintings of South Korean artist Yun Hyong-keun known for his unique style of paining in celebration of 30th anniversary of opening.

BHAK which opened in 1993 under the name of Park Young-deok in Chungdam dong of Seoul, later on transferred to Hannam dong in 2020 and currently the son of Park Young-deok, Park Jong-hyuk is currently under supervision of the facility.

Throughout the exhibition, visitors will be able to whiteness Yun Hyeong-keun’s unique 3.6 meter high art piece which was once exhibited in 1994, for the first time in 30 years, and 8 more various pieces will be showcased.

“Just because it’s an old gallery doesn’t necessarily mean we need to stay within the past, we would like to provide visitors with various and unique interpretation,” adding “Our goal is to focus on the direct experience provided by the artwork itself but at the same time guide the visitors with various and unique experiences alongside things to see.” addressed Park Jong-hyuk, representative of the gallery.

In celebration of 30thh anniversary of opening, the gallery will showcase their unique signature scent.

The exhibition will continue on until April 8.
