SEOUL, Jan. 14 (Yonhap) – K-pop boy group SHINee’s Tae-min will complete his military service as a public service worker due to depression and panic disorder.
The agency SM Entertainment announced that Tae-min was transferred to be a public service worker as of Jan. 14.
SM Entertainment explained, "Tae-min has been receiving treatment and counseling due to depression and panic disorder while he served his mandatory military service," adding, "He was transferred to be a public service worker according to the military's judgment and measures that as his symptoms have been getting worse recently, Tae-min could not continue to receive treatments in military.”
The agency added, "We will continue to do our best to help Tae-min focus on treatment and take a complete rest.”
Tae-min enlisted in the military in May, 2021, and has served in the military band of the Ministry of National Defense Service Support Corps.
