SEOUL, Dec. 20 (Yonhap) -- Yoo Young-jae, a former member of K-pop boy group B.A.P, has been cast as the main character in the upcoming historical drama "Chunjungjiran (Korean title)" or "The Crush of Spring (tentative title)." 

The historical drama, based on a webtoon with the same title, depicts a young bromance story between Sal-byul, a man who disguises as a woman named Choi Hye-seong to escape his status as a slave, Jin Geum-seong, a noble man who marries Choi, and Min Seo-yoon, who searches for Sal-byul.

Yoo will play Jin Geum-seong, a diligent and noble scholar, who is ordered to marry Choi Jin-sa's third daughter, Choi Hye-seong.

The drama will be released on online video platform Watcha in the first half of next year.
