SEOUL, May 13 (Yonhap) -- SM Entertainment announced on Tuesday that it held its brand concert series "SMTOWN LIVE" in celebration of its 30th anniversary—on May 9 in Mexico City and May 11 in Los Angeles (local time).

 

This marked SMTOWN LIVE's first-ever show in Mexico and its return to Los Angeles after nearly 15 years.

 

The concerts featured a lineup of past and present SM artists, including TVXQ, Super Junior, SHINee’s Key and Minho, EXO’s Suho, Chanyeol, and Kai, Red Velvet’s Irene, Seulgi, and Joy, NCT 127, NCT DREAM, WayV, aespa, RIIZE, NCT WISH, Heart2Heart, and Dear Alice. The performances ran for about four hours.

 

Veteran group TVXQ kicked off the show with their iconic hit Rising Sun, while the newest addition to SM’s roster, rookie girl group Heart2Heart, charmed fans with their debut track The Chase and B-side Butterflies.

 

The concert concluded with a full ensemble performance of “Light," a signature song by H.O.T. and a symbolic anthem for SMTOWN LIVE.

 

SMTOWN LIVE will continue its global celebration with a concert in London on June 28.
