SEOUL, June 26 (Yonhap) -- Shinsagae Duty Free said Thursday it will run a promotional campaign through Aug. 27, offering discounts and other shopping benefits to meet rising demand for overseas travel and duty-free shopping during the summer vacation season.

 

As part of its "Duty-free items for your summer vacation" campaign, the retailer will offer discounts of up to 55 percent on summer products at its online mall, Myeongdong store and Incheon International Airport Terminal 1 and 2 stores.

 

The promotion covers a wide range of items, from cosmetics and fragrances by brands such as MAC, Clinique and Versace to fashion labels including Ami and FitFlop, as well as travel electronics such as GoPro cameras.

 

The online mall will offer discounts of up to 65 percent on products from beauty brands such as Sulwhasoo, Tom Ford Beauty and Medicube, as well as fashion, jewelry and health supplement brands including Prada, Golden Dew and JungKwanJang.

 

At its Myeongdong store, the company will provide shopping vouchers worth up to 45,000 won (US$33) to Korean customers. Independent foreign travelers will receive gifts and coupons based on their purchase amounts.

 

At its Incheon airport stores, departing travelers will receive shopping vouchers worth up to 3,000 won.

 

The campaign also includes various partnership promotions and credit card discount offers.

 

"We planned this campaign to help customers preparing for summer vacations enjoy duty-free shopping in a more affordable and enjoyable way," a Shinsegae Duty Free official said.
