SEOUL, Nov. 11 (Yonhap) -- British rock band Coldplay will hold a solo online concert on the South Korean video streaming app, Coupang Play, on Dec. 4.
"To mark the end of the year, Coldplay's online concert 'Coupang Play Concert: Coldplay" will be hosted exclusively and broadcast live," Coupang Play said Thursday.
This concert will be Coldplay's first solo performance in four years since the band performed in 2017 for fans in Korea and also the first music concert organized and hosted by Coupang Play.
Coupang Play is also preparing an online fan meeting for Coldplay, and further details on the event will be announced on Coupang Play's website, app, and social media accounts.
"As Coldplay's live performance is well known for its powerful performance, explosive singing sound, and outstanding stage manners, we look forward to seeing what will happen at this concert," Coupang Play said.
Coldplay, a four-member rock band, consisting of Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Phil Harvey, and Will Champion, was formed in London in 1998 and is loved around the world for releasing smash-hits like "Viva La Vida" and "Yellow." The band recently swept the Billboard chart for its collaboration piece "My Universe" with K-pop supergroup BTS.
"Coupang Play Concert: Cold Play" will be available on Coupang Play from 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 4.
