SEOUL, Oct. 31 (Yonhap) -- Regarding the Itaewon Stampede happened on last Friday, musical and performing arts fields are canceling concerts and events and offering condolences.

2022 Seoul Performing Arts Festival (hereafter SPAF), which took place from Oct.6 to Oct.30, canceled all the performances planned for Oct. 30, the last day of the event.

Executive office of SPAF said, "We have decided to cancel the performances as the national mourning period has been fixed until the midnight of Nov. 5," adding, "We send our condolence to the victims and their families and wish speed recovery of the injured."

Culture & arts organizations such as Sejong center and Korea National University of Arts have temporarily delayed events and festival that were to occur this week.

Sejong center has delayed the kick-off ceremony of student press, which was to open on Monday, and is discussing whether to hold performances of affiliated organization.
