SEOUL October 20 (Yonhap) -- South Korean bassoonist Kim Min-joo has been accepted as the chief performer of the "Philharmoniker Hamburg."

Kim Min-joo was accepted as the chief performer position after she auditioned for the spot in Germany on October 14 (German time), therefore the bassoonist will start participating as a member “Philharmoniker Hamburg” starting on October 20, addressed Kumho Cultural Foundation.

After graduating from Seoul National University as a music major, Kim Min-joo participated in a master’s degree course in Zurich University of Arts. Currently “Philharmoniker Hamburg” is bind to Elbe Philharmonic Hall, and participate in over 250 various opera, ballet productions yearly. Since 2015 conductor Kent Nagano has been leading the orchestra.
