SEOUL October 20 (Yonhap) -- South Korean bassoonist Kim Min-joo has been accepted as the chief performer of the "Philharmoniker Hamburg."

Kim Min-joo was accepted as the chief performer position after she auditioned for the spot in Germany on October 14 (German time), therefore the bassoonist will start participating as a member “Philharmoniker Hamburg” starting on October 20, addressed Kumho Cultural Foundation.

After graduating from Seoul National University as a music major, Kim Min-joo participated in a master’s degree course in Zurich University of Arts. Once she acquired master’s degree, artist participated in “Prague Spring International Music Competition” in May of 2022 and won the grand prize for the first time as a South Korean artist.
