SEOUL, Mar. 4 (Yonhap) – K-pop boy group U-KISS has donated 10 million won to Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Korea, according to Tango Music on Friday.
In order to support refugees, including children, U-KISS personally met Dmytro Ponomarenko, the Ukrainian Ambassador to Korea, to deliver their donation on Thursday.
The group said, “We hope our small donations can do any good for the Ukrainian people suffering from war,” adding, “We sincerely hope the war in Ukraine comes to an end and pray for everyone's peace.”
The ambassador Ponomarenko said, "We were in the middle of planning a project where K-pop artists work together with Ukrainian children, so I’m glad to have such a meaningful meeting like this.”
