SEOUL, Oct. 11 (Yonhap) -- Actress Im Yoon-ah has donated 100 million won to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation, her agency SM Entertainment announced on the 11th.

The donation comprises all proceeds from the pop-up store "So Wonderful Day," which she opened in May to celebrate her birthday, supplemented with her own funds to reach the 100 million won total. The donated money will be used to support the medical expenses of children suffering from pediatric cancer and rare, intractable diseases.

Im Yoon-ah became a member of the "Honor Society," a group for high-value donors, in 2015 and has since consistently supported various charitable efforts, including year-end donations to help those in need and volunteer work.

Debuting in 2007 with the girl group Girls' Generation, she has since expanded her career into acting, starring in dramas like Big Mouth and King the Land, as well as films such as Exit and Confidential Assignment. She is set to appear in the upcoming film The Devil Came to Live Here, directed by Lee Sang-geun, known for Exit.
