SEOUL, Mar. 16 (Yonhap) -- South Korean veteran actress Kim Seo-hyung, who is best known for her lead roles in the mega-hit television series “SKY Castle” and “Mine,” has confirmed to return to the small scenes with a brand-new crime series.
Kim is slated to appear in the local cable channel ENA’s upcoming Monday-Tuesday television series “Paper Moon” (literal title), which will premiere on Apr. 10, according to the cable channel Thursday.
The forthcoming series will depict the story of an ordinary housewife, who used to live a boring and pathetic life, regains her confidence by working at a bank, and eventually begins to embezzle money from her VIP clients.
Kim will appear as the housewife-turned-banker Yoo Yi-hwa, along with actresses Yoo Sun and Seo Young-hee, who will play the roles of Yoo’s friends.
The upcoming series will see Yoo Sun as Ryu Gae-eul, a high-flying career woman who works as a manager of a beauty-product firm. In the meantime, Seo Young-hee will play the role of Kang Seon-yeong, a full-time housewife who works hard to belong to the upper class.
Yoo Yi-hwa’s husband Choi Ki-hyun, who sets an honorable reputation as his priority and wishes to keep Yoo as his trophy wife, will be played by Gong Jeong-hwan, while Lee Chun-hee will suit up as Ryu’s ex-husband Sung Si-hoon.
Producer Yoo Jong-sun, who is known for previously delivering suspense drama series “Designated Survivor: 60 Days” and “Secret Royal Inspector and Joy,” has taken the helm.
