Singer Ben divorces after 3 years of marriage

SEOUL, Feb. 29 (Yonhap) -- Singer Ben has encountered a crisis in her marriage with Lee, the chairman of W Foundation, who is involved in climate refugee relief efforts, after three years of marriage.

An official from her agency, BRD Entertainment, stated on the 29th, "It is true that Ben is getting divorced," adding, "It was due to the fault of the other party, and Ben will have custody rights."

Ben and Lee reportedly began the divorce mediation process at the end of last year, and only the final divorce registration remains.

Ben revealed her relationship with Lee in September 2019 and publicly dated him. The two announced their plans to marry in August 2020. They held their wedding ceremony in June the following year and welcomed a daughter in February of last year.

Ben debuted as a member of the female vocal group BeBe Mignon in 2010 and began her solo career in 2012 with the release of a mini-album. She is recognized as a talented female vocalist with hits such as "180 Degrees," "In Love," and "Thank You for Breaking Up."
