SEOUL, Nov. 12 (Yonhap) -- Shindong, a member of K-pop boy group Super Junior, has been confirmed to have contracted the coronavirus.
"Shindong was classified to be a close contact with a COVID-19 patient and tested positive on Nov. 11. The singer is currently in self-quarantine," the K-pop act's agency Label SJ said Friday.
"There was no contact between Shindong and the rest of the Super Junior members, and we have adjusted all of Shindong's scheduled events," Label SJ said.
Shindong, who debuted as a member of Super Junior in 2005, gained popularity by appearing in various entertainment programs. The singer is currently appearing in the second season of SBS Plus' entertainment show "Love Master."
