SEOUL, Mar. 14 (Yonhap) -- Miyawaki Sakura and Kim Chae-won from K-pop girl group IZ*ONE have signed an exclusive contract with Source Music, which was acquired by HYBE Corporation.

Source Music said on Mar. 14, “The two artists signed an exclusive contract with the company based on mutual trust,” “They will debut as the first girl group launched by HYBE and Source Music.”

Miyawaki Sakura debuted as a Japanese girl group HKT48 in 2011 and also succeeded in debuting as IZ*ONE, which was formed through the Mnet’s audition program “Produce 48,” in 2018.

The rumors have consistently been raised in terms of the joining of the two artists since IZ*ONE disbanded, and HYBE and Source Music neither denied nor admitted it.

Source Music mentioned, “Please look forward to upcoming performances of the artists, who will show off new sides of them in our agency.”
