SEOUL, Jan. 10 (Yonhap) – Fashion enterprise F&F Co., based in South Korea, has launched its own entertainment as a subsidiary, announced the firm on Tuesday.
Choi Jae-woo, the former executive of Kakao Entertainment, has been invited as the first CEO to organize the overall performance of the newly established subsidiary. CEO Choi, who worked at Kakao Entertainment for 12 years, was in charge of managing the investment and distribution of various types of music content including the original soundtracks (OST) of Korean dramas.
F&F will begin its first project of selecting K-pop girl groups via its entertainment subsidiary in the latter half of this year.
As one of the largest fashion enterprises in Korea, F&F, which manages the distribution of fashion brands including MLB and Discovery Expedition, has been incessantly expanding its business in content investment by recently acquiring the shares of a drama production company, Victory.
