SEOUL February 19 (Yonhap) -- As the travel regulations being implemented due to COVID 19 has lifted and the hankering of travel has sky rocketed more than ever, various travel variety shows are being showcased.
According to the entertainment industry on February 18, various global tourism shows such as those feature aspects of well known travel related board game “Blue Marble,” to opening a restaurant abroad are attracting a lot of audiences.
◇ Rolling a dice in order to pick a place to travel, Variety show featuring aspects of “Blue Marble”
Producer Kim Tae-ho known for the show “Infinite Challenge” in the past, has parted ways with MBC and will be showcasing his latest show “Earth Marble World Travel” on March 4 through broadcasting provider ENA.
The upcoming reality show will feature personally customized aspects of “Blue Marble” by producer Kim Tae-ho where members Kwak Tube, Pani Bottle, 1G and more will travel throughout the world accordingly to the game.
Members of the program will travel to wherever the dice lands, and the videos of the members traveling will be uploaded to the YouTube channel “TEO.” One with the most amount of likes will win the competition and as a prize, producer Kim Tae-ho provide the master ticket where one can travel anywhere.
Moreover, South Korean OTT service TVING will be showcasing, a reality TV show called “Bro Marble” (working title) which focuses on one specific county, and various cultural aspects unique within the country.
“Bro Marble” which is expected to premiere within the first half of 2023 will feature members Lee Seung-gi, Yoo Yeon-seok, Lee Dong-hwi, K-pop superstar Seventeen’s Joshua, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun and Ji Seok-jin will travel throughout Dubai.
Member will travel to the city where the dice lands, and when other members land on the city bought by other members, they will pay the fee to pass through the city just like the rules of the board game “Blue Marble.”

On top of various travel TV shows, some of the travel shows will feature the natural and personal aspect of TV personals daily lives.
South Korean broadcasting service SBS will be showcasing their latest TV show “School trip Without Math,” featuring K-pop artist ZICO, D.O. of EXO, Crush, Jannabi’s Choi Jung-hoon, comedian Lee Yong-in, and more will premiere on March 9.
Choi Bo-pil producer known for his TV show “Running Man” will showcase an interesting trip among six of the unique figures through the upcoming TV show “School Trip without Math” where members of the show will visit Hokkaido Japan under heavy snow, while completing unique missions.
Moreover, MBN will be showcasing a travel variety show “By ourselves for the first time” where celebrities will go on a trip with non celebrities, in March.
South Korean TV personal Noh Hong-chul, Lee Gook-ju, singer KCM will be traveling around various spots with non celebrities with unique stories to share.
On top of the various travel shows, some of the shows will provide the audience with an opportunity to learn about the culture while getting a hands on experience.
tvN will showcase a brand new variety show called “You should go to Sydney” (working title) featuring South Korean actor Heo Sung-yae, Lee Si-eon, Ahn Bo-hyun, travel YouTuber Kwak Tube will go on a working holiday trip to Sydney.
Members will visiting Sydney as a workers instead of the a celebrity in order to provide the audience with the realistic experience of working holiday.
