SEOUL, Dec. 30 (Yonhap) – K-pop girl group TWICE and the boy group NCT127 succeeded in ranking on “Billboard 200” and showed the power of K-pop.
According to the recent chart announced on Dec. 29(the U.S. time), TWICE’s third full album “Formula of Love: O+T=<3,” which was released on Nov. 12, has ranked No.36 on “Billboard 200,” which jumped from No.48 last week.
TWICE has entered the chart in No.3 and went down to No.16, No.26, No.66, and No.84 after achieving the group’s highest rank and went back up to No.36.
The group’s agency JYP has explained, “The belated success of the chart was due to the consideration of the sales on the special version album, which was released on Dec. 17.”
TWICE has reentered and ranked No.65 on “Artist 100,” the chart that ranks the artists based on their calculated sales. Besides, the group has ranked No.2 on “World Album,” No.8 on “Top Current Album Sales,” and No.8 on “Top Album Sales.”
Moreover, “The Feels,” the original English single album released in October, has succeeded in entering a total of 7 charts by ranking No.68 on “Billboard Global (except U.S.)” and No. 128 on “Billboard Global 200.”
