SEOUL, May 15 (Yonhap) – K-pop quartet aespa’s third mini-album "MY WORLD" has set a new record for K-pop girl groups with 1.69 million copies sold in the first week of release, its agency said on Monday.
The group's latest album sold more than 1.12 million copies, replacing previous record by their second mini-album "GIRLS" released in July last year.
Pre-orders for My world hit record 1.8 million. The album sold 1.37 million copies on the first day of its release, the largest sale by a K-pop girl group so far.
My world comprises six songs, including the lead track "Spicy."
