SEOUL, Sept. 11 (Yonhap) -- The crime thriller Your Honor, starring Son Hyun-joo and Kim Myung-min, concluded with a dramatic finale, earning the third-highest viewership rating in ENA's history.

 

According to Nielsen Korea on the 11th, the final episode of Genie TV’s original series Your Honor, which aired the previous day, achieved a peak rating of 6.1%. This ranks it behind Extraordinary Attorney Woo (17.5%) and Crash (6.6%) as the third-highest-rated drama on the network.

 

In the gripping conclusion, the show depicted the intense and tragic fallout between Judge Song Pan-ho (played by Son Hyun-joo) and violent crime syndicate leader Kim Kang-heon (played by Kim Myung-min). Both characters lose everything in their quest for vengeance, highlighting the destructive nature of their twisted paternal love.

 

The plot thickened as Song Pan-ho's son, Ho-young (Kim Do-hoon), unable to contain his rage after Kim Kang-heon's eldest son, Kim Sang-hyuk (Heo Nam-jun), was acquitted for his crimes, seeks revenge by arming himself and heading to Kim Kang-heon's residence. However, before Ho-young can act, Ma Ji-young (Jung Ae-yeon), who had already lost her second son to Ho-young, shoots and kills him. Arriving too late, Song Pan-ho is left devastated, cradling his son's body.

 

Adding to the tragedy, Kim Kang-heon's daughter, Kim Eun (Park Se-hyun), who had grown close to Ho-young, takes her own life after witnessing the death of both her brother and Ho-young. The series concludes with Song Pan-ho telling a broken Kim Kang-heon, "This is the surest way to make us repent for our sins."

 

Your Honor is a crime thriller based on the Israeli drama Kvodo, revolving around the moral and legal conflicts between a judge and a crime boss after their children become entangled in a fatal accident. The show was praised for its intense storyline, unexpected plot twists, and strong performances by the lead actors.
