SEOUL, July 3 (Yonhap) -- APR said Friday that its flagship beauty brand Medicube demonstrated its global competitiveness by topping major search rankings and placing multiple products among bestsellers during Amazon Prime Day events held simultaneously in the United States and Europe.
According to APR, Medicube posted its highest-ever sales during Amazon Prime Day in the United States, held June 23-26 (local time).
During the event, Medicube ranked No. 1 in Amazon's overall search rankings, surpassing search terms such as iPad, Lego and AirPods. The result marked a sharp improvement from ninth place last year.
Among its products, the "Zero Pore Pad" ranked No. 1 in Amazon's overall beauty category for the second consecutive year and topped the toner and lotion category for the third straight year.
APR said Medicube placed as many as 11 products among Amazon's top 100 beauty bestsellers during the event, the highest number achieved by any beauty brand, including K-beauty brands.
Medicube also made a strong showing in its first participation in Amazon Prime Day in Europe, with an average of more than seven products ranking among the top 100 beauty bestsellers.
On the final day of the event, the brand ranked No. 1 in beauty-category search rankings on Amazon in the United Kingdom, Spain and Italy.
APR said it plans to further raise Medicube's brand awareness by expanding into major offline retail channels in the United States and Europe and hosting pop-up stores and other promotional events.
"We have reconfirmed Medicube's strong brand popularity in the U.S. while also identifying robust consumer demand in the European market," an APR official said. "We will continue strengthening our global competitiveness by diversifying sales channels and implementing localized branding strategies."
