BTS' Suga recovers from COVID-19

SEOUL, Jan. 3 (Yonhap) -- BTS member Suga (birth name Min Yoon-gi), who had tested positive for COVID-19, was released from quarantine after being diagnosed with complete recovery.


Big Hit Music, his agency, said on the fan community platform Weverse on Monday, "Suga was released from quarantine at noon (KST) today."

He will be able to engage in daily activities from this day.

Suga was confirmed to have COVID-19 on the morning of the 24th of last month.

He returned home on Dec. 23 after carrying out his schedule thereafter concerts in Los Angeles (LA) from November to December last year. The member tested positive for COVID-19 by a Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.

Big Hit Music said, "Suga did not show any special symptoms of his health condition during the quarantine period, and he is currently recovering his condition while taking a rest."

The agency added, "We will continue to prioritize the health and safety of artists and faithfully comply with the quarantine guidelines."

Following Suga, other members RM and Jin, who were confirmed on the 25th of last month, are also expected to be cured as early as Jan. 4 and released from quarantine.
