SEOUL, September 14 (Yonhap) -- Singer and actor Park Yu-chun, who was on probation for drug usage, will return to the screen after five years.
Park Yu-chun will be coming back with the new movie "On the Edge," to be released next month, the film distributor company Bluefilmworks announced on Wednesday.
The film is a melodrama depicting the story of a man, Taehong (played by Park Yu-chun), who lost everything at once, and a woman, Hongdan (Lee Jin-ri), who has nothing to lose, meeting on the edge of their lives. Director Kim Si-woo, who produced the movies "Borderliners" (2020) and "Turandot" (2021), took charge of this movie.
Park Yu-chun was arrested for the use of meth in 2019 and sentenced to 10 months in prison and two years of probation. Before being indicted, he held a press conference and announced his retirement from the industry, but overturned his statement and came back a year later.
