BTS ‘Film Out’ and ‘Lights’ certified as platinum in Japan

SEOUL, Jan. 27 (Yonhap) -- K-pop group BTS' "Film Out" and “Lights” have been certified as platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan, according to the Big Hit Music, Thursday.

“Film Out” is the title song of the Japanese Album “BTS, The Best” and “Light” is a song released in Japan in July 2019.

The Recording Industry Association of Japan certifies songs with over 30 million streams as silver, 50 million as gold, 100 million as platinum, and 500 million as diamond.

The Japanese version of “Spring Day” also received a gold certification.

Earlier, BTS received a platinum certification for “Butter” and “Permission To Dance.” “Butter” certified as platinum after 72 days of its release, setting the record for the shortest time ever.

The superband has a total of 8 songs certifying as platinum in Japan, including “Dynamite,” “Boy With Luv,” “Stay Gold,” and “DNA.”
