SEOUL, Sept. 22 (Yonhap) -- TV personality Yoo Jae-suk, 54, has canceled a scheduled recording due to health issues.

 

Yoo's agency Antenna said Tuesday that he had to cancel the recording after experiencing a temporary high fever caused by cold and flu-like symptoms.

 

Yoo had been scheduled to record the fifth season of SBS' entertainment program "Whenever There's a Chance" at an undisclosed location in Seoul, but the recording was canceled before it began.

 

"He is currently focusing on his recovery," the agency said, adding that it had asked the production staff for their understanding and rescheduled the recording.

 

The production team of "Whenever There's a Chance" also said Yoo asked the staff for their understanding after his condition deteriorated shortly before filming and that the recording was canceled. It added that filming would resume soon.

 

It marked the first time Yoo has canceled a recording on the same day due to health or other reasons since making his debut at the first KBS University Comedy Festival in 1991.
